Data Science is an interdisciplinary field that stands at the intersection of Statistics, Programming, Storytelling, and Domain Knowledge. The University of Washington (where I’m at for my Master’s!) even pulls from six unique departments to create its curriculum, since the faculty acknowledges the in-depth nature of this field.
When I talk about Data Science, I’m not talking exclusively about an end-to-end Machine Learning model or a Tableau Dashboard - I’m talking about everything that makes up the core tenets of Data Science. Pretty neat, right?
